The Entrepreneur and Society 6057
Course Objectives
The course provides a broad introduction to entrepreneurship and innovation. Through lectures, literature studies and field work, students will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of what it entails to be an entrepreneur and what role entrepreneurship plays in society.
Course Description
The course covers the following topics:
- Different types of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship in various sectors
- The process from idea to implementation and operation
- The entrepreneur
- Entrepreneur and networks
- Social change and entrepreneurship policies
Learning Methods
2-3 hours of lectures per week during the autumn semester. Group project, organized field work and reporting.
Assessment Methods
Group assignment (field) which counts for 40% and individual written examination counts 60%. All examinations must receive passing marks in order to receive a final course grade.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
