Course Objectives

The course provides students with an increased understanding of, and insight into, key issues in financing and investment. Key aspects of business finance and investment theory will be focused on. The course will also consider the purchase and sale of enterprises, international finance and other topics.

  • Debt-equity ratio and risk
  • Capital structure
  • Dividend policy
  • Purchases and sales of enterprises
  • International finance (valuation rate risk & governance, establishing overseas)

  • Risk management

Learning Methods

3-4 hours of lectures per week in the autumn semester.

Assessment Methods

Written final examination, 4 hours.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
