Course Description

Course units

1. Multimedia Theory and History

2. Digital Video: Working with Digital Video Cameras, Filming and Editing

3. Digital Sound: Recording and Editing Digital Sound

4. Animation: Working with Two-Dimensional Animation Techniques

5. Multimedia Production and Analysis

Equipment and software:

  • Digital video cameras
  • An image editing programme such as Adobe Photoshop, or the equivalent
  • A multi-media programme such as Mediator, or the equivalent
  • A video editing programme such as Windows Movie-Maker or the equivalent
  • A sound editing programme such as Audacity, or the equivalent.

Assessment Methods

Informal guidance and evaluation will be part of both the learning process and a means by which the individual student may acquire increased insight into his/her own professional qualifications for advanced studies and future professional prospects.

All course units must be passed in order to receive a certificate.

The examination consists of an individual project assignment with a grade which will be entered on the course certificate. The grades will range from A to F, with E as the lowest passing mark. The grade will be assigned in accordance with Telemark University College examination regulations.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
