Course Description
In 504 Social Studies 2, we explore what it means to live in a global world, with a focus on globalization, global history, the relationship between the natural environment and living conditions and specific global conflicts.
Teaching and Learning Methods
The course uses varied and active teaching and learning methods such as class discussions, lectures, seminars, working with sources and study trips (if possible).
Parts of the course are obligatory. Information concerning this will be provided in the semester plan.
Assessment Methods
Continuous assessment
Project which will be presented orally. Assessed on a pass / fail basis.
Final assessment
Individual report. Counts for 1/4 of the final grade.
Oral examination. Counts for 3/4 of the final grade.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
