Teaching and Learning Methods
General Chemistry
Lectures, exercises
Organic Chemistry
The course is conducted through lectures and exercises.
Assessment Methods
Each assessment will test the extent to which the individual has achieved learning outcomes in terms of knowledge and skills. The assessment consists of:
Examination 1: General chemistry (50%).
Examination 2: Organic chemistry, Part 1 (20%).
Examination 3: Organic chemistry, Part 2 (30%).
Passing grades must be achieved in all examinations in order to receive a passing grade for the course. Students must also submit obligatory assignments in the general chemistry component. All obligatory assignments must have received passing grades before students will be allowed to sit the examination in general chemistry, part 1.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
