Learning outcome
After completing the course the student should have the following learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills and competences:
- Business development and establishment processes
- Rules for stapling and liquidation of enterprises
- Financial statements and annual reports
- Daily operation of enterprises
- Networking
- Marketing
- Obtaining information on customers and competitors, and how this information can and should be used in efforts to achieve the goal and to establish a business in challenging markets
- Board work
- Interdisciplinary project activities
Course Description
- Development of business ideas and preparation of business plans
- Organization and registration of a student enterprise
- Planning, start-up, operation and winding up a student enterprise
- Work plan drafted according to guidelines described by Young Enterprise (YE)
- Intensive group work with the support of supervisor and mentor
- Theme seminars
- Exhibitions and competitions
Teaching and Learning Methods
5-8 hours of lectures and guidance per week in both semesters. Students work in organized groups. Each group will be assigned a supervisor, but must provide mentoring and auditors according to the JA-YE requirements. There will be lectures in selected topics, and mandatory milestones in the form of assignments, presentations and seminars.
Seminars, exhibitions and competitions create an innovative interdisciplinary environment and inspire the students to do their best.
Assessment Methods
Group assessment based on the following:
- Work progress, fulfilment of mandatory stages, submission of assignments
- Business plan with registration and winding-up documents
- Participation in fairs and competitions
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
