  • Prepare practical training studies and the Bachelor’s thesis work in course 10

The candidate is able to:

  • Assess the sources of knowledge and discourses that shape the content of social education work
  • Show a critically reflective attitude in the assessment of professional issues

Course Description

The content of the course is based on the national curriculum’s requirements regarding the distribution of credits, which functions as a guideline for the clarification of the course plan.

National and Local Knowledge, Health and Social Policy - 5 ECTS; Sociology and Social Anthropology – 4 ECTS; Law - 2 ECTS; Science and Research Methodology - 2 ECTS; General Pedagogy and Social Pedagogy - 2 ECTS; Medical and Natural Science Topics – 2 ECTS; The Discipline’s Development, Ideology, Ethics and Professional Roles – 2 ECTS; Welfare Work – 3 ECTS; Communication, Interaction and Conflict Resolution - 5 ECTS; Working with Groups, Organizations and Networks - 3 ECTS; Communication, Interaction and Conflict Resolution – 5 ECTS.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Study groups are the key element in the course 9. Teaching and learning methods and the organisation of the course are described in the course plan.

Assessment Methods

Course code: 060-E9: Critical Reflection – assessment assignment

Students will answer one of two given assignments based on the expected learning outcomes in course 9. Individual responses (2500 - 3000 words). Graded marks.
A maximum of six course requirements, which must be completed before completion of the course can be approved. One of the assignments concerns a complete case which focuses on the services for the disabled. The course requirements are described in the course plan.
