- Has insight into communication processes and their importance for cooperation and conflict management in interactions with children, adolescents and their parents

Course Description

The content of the course is based on the national curriculum’s requirements regarding the distribution of credits, which functions as a guideline for the clarification of the course plan.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Self-study, lectures, use of tutorials and presentations, practical skills training and the use of activities and communication exercises.

Assessment Methods

Course code: 070-E8: Implementing measures in child welfare – assessment assignment including an oral examination.

The response will demonstrate the student’s competence in the assessment of child and adolescent behavioural and care situations as a basis for the choice of a methodological approach. Individual responses. 4000 words. Graded marks.
Individual oral examination based on the knowledge foundation of the second year of study and the student’s understanding of their own subject. The written part of the assessment task 8-1 must be passed in order to qualify to sit the oral examination. The final grade is determined after the oral examination. The oral examination is primarily an adjustment to the grade of the written assignment. It is possible to give the candidate a grade of “fail” on the basis of the oral examination.
There may be as many as two required course assignments, which must be approved before the completion of the course can be approved. The course requirements are described in the course plan.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
