Learning outcome
The candidate will design a syllabus that focuses on a specific topic within the field at Master’s degree level and also write a summary of this.
After successfully completing the course, the candidate will have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence.
Knowledge
The candidate:
- Has advanced knowledge in the field
- Can apply this knowledge in new areas
- Can analyse existing theories and use methods that are common in the field
- Masters the language and terminology
- Can contribute to innovation and innovation processes
Course Description
The student will carry out a review of the subject literature pertaining to a topic chosen by the student, which must be approved. The course will include academic articles or textbooks related to the field of the Master’s thesis.
Teaching and Learning Methods
The student will design a syllabus, which must be approved; he/she will give an independent presentation of this comprising 30-40 pages.
Assessment Methods
One-week home examination: the student designs a syllabus and makes a presentation (comprising 30-40 pages); assessed with a graded mark that counts for 60% of the final. grade.
An oral examination which is assessed with a graded mark and counts for 40% of the final grade.
The course requires a minimum attendance of 75 %.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
