Learning outcome

After completing the course, students should:

  • know a workplace and an industry,
  • have been using knowledge from the study in relevant workplace practices.

Course Description

  • The framework for the internship is outlined in a contract that is signed by the student, the workplace and TUC.
  • The student is responsible for obtaining an internship in good time before the semester begins.
  • A job description for the internship should have been approved by the faculty in advance of signature of contract.
  • The students relates to a local supervisor at the workplace and a tutor at TUC throughout the internship.
  • The Internship will normally start at the beginning of the semester and continue until the examination period begins.
  • The above mentioned contract describes an amount of time for the student's selected depth study.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Throughout the internship

  • students should acquire work experience through applying knowledge from the study in everyday work at the workplace and
  • the student in collaboration with academic and local mentor, and should conduct an in-depth study.
  • The student may in some cases have to aquire new knowledge as a result of the tasks in the workplace.
  • The contact between the student and supervisor at TUC will be as needed throughout the internship.
  • Report written in relation to depth project requires a large degree of autonomy from the student's side. Some guidance in terms of form, content and extent of will be provided by tutor.

Assessment Methods

The asessment statements will be "pass" or "fail" and will be based on the report that the student writes.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
