The candidate has extensive knowledge of topics related to powder mechanics.

Skills

The candidate is able to apply computation methods relevant to solid mechanics and has laboratory experience with particulate solids investigations.

Course Description

  • Computing tension distribution in silos
  • Measuring methods in powder mechanics, aimed specially at direct and indirect methods for measuring the flow properties of particulate solids
  • Laboratory exercises on the properties of particulate solids

Teaching and Learning Methods

Lectures, exercises and laboratory work are used.

Assessment Methods

Laboratory report and final examination.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
