Course Objectives

To get practical experience with the behaviour of representative industrial processes, how to model and control such processes, and skills in using instrumentation and automation hardware and software.

Course Description

Working on assignments based on equipment such as heat exchangers, distillation columns, vessels, control valves, pumps, motors, and industrial instrumentation and automation hardware and software.

Learning Methods

Laboratory work, report writing, and oral presentations.

Assessment Methods

The written report of the assignments with oral presentation counts 70% and the final, individual test counts 30% in the final grade. It is necessary to pass both the report work and the final test, in order to get a passing grade.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
