Læringsmål
- To reflect on teaching, learning and training in relation to various sports and practical activities, and be able to discuss the most important values that can be mediated through the subject of physical education in schools.
- To demonstrate skills in and provide advice on selected sports and practical activities.
- To be able to plan and carry out simple training sessions in chosen sports and practical activities.
- To be able to create various exercises based on exercise, sports and outdoor activities, and adapt them to the needs of children, adolescents and adults through experimentation and cooperation.
- To acquire an understanding of, and experience with, sports and practical activities in natural surroundings, and draw on personal experience in specific cultures when discussing physical education.
- To gain new knowledge of and experience with sports and practical activities based on Norwegian sport and school traditions.
Innhold
Working with orienteering, games, ball-based activities and subject didactics will ensure variation between the development of personal skills, theoretical understanding, practice teaching and didactic reflection.
The students will pursue the learning objectives by:
- Considering the similarities and differences between the various activities, and the values offered by the mediation of sports in the school subject Physical Education.
- Demonstrating skills and the ability to provide guidance in the chosen activities
- Creating a plan to teach the same skills
- Developing variations in the games and training methods, based on insights gained though working with the various activities
- Creating alternative sports-related and practical activities through experimentation and cooperation with others
- Gaining experience with, and an understanding of, the use of different learning arenas, such as the natural environment and gymnasiums when working with sports-related and practical activities
- Developing an ability to discuss sports and practical activities from a historical perspective, in relation to Norwegian cultural and educational traditions.
Organisering
The course will be divided into the following course units:
- Snow-Boarding
- Skating
- Cross-Country Skiing
- Telemark Skiing
- Climbing
- Subject Didactics
The approach will be primarily practical, and will emphasise the use of the natural environment as an arena for learning. Course units other than those listed above may be added underway.
We will use teaching and learning methods such as:
Students are expected to take the initiative and seek understanding through literature and articles, interaction with other students and consultation.
Vurderingsformer
The course is assessed with a letter grade which is based on the following elements:
- An individual coursework journal in which the various aspects of the course will be discussed and assessed.
