The students will also do supervised but independent seminar-based studies and presentations of recent international articles in the chosen topic/project. A main part of the course is an independent study. The students will choose a relevant research project (presented by the course) to work with. The projects will be carried out individually, implementing field/lab work, data collection and analysis, and write-up and presentation in a project paper/report.
Vurderingsformer
A draft of the paper will be submitted to the teacher(s) half way through the semester. A final written report will be submitted at the end of the semester, and also presented orally for the class and teachers. The course grade will be given on the basis of the submitted research report and the oral presentation (100%). To be able to hand in the research report, the individual multiple choice exam (approved/not approved) and the seminar-based studies (approved/not approved) need to be accepted.
