Læringsutbytte

The intention of the course is to give the PhD candidates possibilities to substantially upgrade the state of the art knowledge within the PhD topic. Accordingly the course will be very individually adapted. The main motivation for the course is the very strict implementation time for a PhD, which empirically often gives the candidate limited time to sufficient upgrading of relevant knowledge within the actual themes.

After completing the course, the students should have the following qualifications regarding knowledge, skills, and general competence:

Innhold

The course may contain relevant methodology, statistics, classical (historical) as well as state of the art knowledge within the actual theme. The syllabus will be specially adapted to each candidate by the PhD candidate and the candidate's main advisor.

Arbeids- og læringsformer

Learning methods will be supervised self-tuition. An essay has to be submitted together with an oral representation of 30 minutes.

• Essay and oral presentation, pass/fail
