940 Process Technology, master
Target Group and Admission Requirements
Bachelor in chemical or mechanical engineering. Final exam in Mathematics III at TUC or equivalent are also required.
Aim of the Programme
The program offers a broad knowledge within areas of process design and syntehsis, fluid flow processes, applied thermodynamics, and separation technologies. A common feature of the majority of the activities is natural gas technology. Specialization is also given in the field of process safety.
The successful candidate can find employment with companies working with process safety and impact assessment and companies that design and operate industrial processing and process installations, both land based and offshore, and with institutes and companies doing research and development.
The program qualifies for admission to doctoral studies in technology at Norwegian and foreign universities.

Study Programme for Process Technology.
Teaching and Learning Methods
Central teaching methods are lectures and tutorials, group work or projects and laboratoty work. Experimental equipment, advanced mathematical models and powerful computers are used.
To complete the program, the candidate writes an individual thesis of 30 credits on a topic from research, or on a relevant topic presented by one of our industrial collaborators.
The program has international students and the teaching medium is English.
The Master 's Thesis can be carried out abroad.
